Is this the end of an innocence
Or the conclusion of the masquerade?
Is this the final day of childhood
Before we put the deadly toys away?
All these thoughts approach as I lie sleeping
And splattered rays of morning strike my wall
The morning is glowing - knowing
Will life begin outside my window
Speaking with the voice of a sparrow?
Will scattered dew drops sparkle throwing colours
For the eyes of those who won't awaken again?
All these thoughts approach as I lie sleeping
And splattered rays of morning strike my wall
The morning is glowing - knowing
Will I look outside my window
And see beyond the pandemonium of yesterday?
And travel with the breezes
Wandering and wondering which way's
for you and me?
All these thoughts approach as I lie sleeping
And splattered rays of morning strike my wall
The morning is glowing - knowing
The morning is glowing - knowing
What's in store
